Detox (0rganic)

I was really excited to see DAVIDs Organic Detox under flap number five after having just yesterday recommended it to my lovely friend Ban. I have only tried it once before in Saskatoon when I was sick and I remember really loving how soothing it was, and that it wasn't too overly flavoured for a 'flavoured green tea' option.
Boasting ingredients like: rooibos, sencha green tea, lemongrass, ginger, juniper berries, ginkgo and natural lemon flavour, it would be easy to assume that this tea has a lot of flavour mixing going on, but if you're a fan of straight no nonsense green tea don't let this
hefty list steer you away.
Drink it without sugar if you are only in it for the green tea flavour, and the earthy taste of the tea will be the star supported by just a hint of lemongrass. I actually almost prefer to drink it this way because it makes
my lazy ass feel healthy.
With sugar all the flavours come out to play, just don't add too much or you might feel slightly overwhelmed by the sweetness. Lemon really is the star when sugar comes into play. It also extenuates the ginger just slightly, leaving a really nice almost chamomile flavour. In my mind it's a winner with or without sweetener.
Given the name detox, DAVIDs claims it will help you feel better when you're sick or need a reboot. And I think they're probably right. This would be a great tea to flush out the system with. It's drinkable without sugar (and believe me, I don't say that often... I love me some sugar.) So I think this tea would be a nice way (for me at least,) to detox from a sugar or a massive food binge. It should help settle your stomache and flush out your system especially if you have more than one cup.
